Chris DeLorenzo is a photographer and director whose work bridges the realms of fine art and advertising. With a foundation in high-end imagery and post-production, Chris has built a career trusted by top-tier brands to deliver creative visions in even the most high-pressure scenarios. His work consistently pushes the boundaries of photography, aiming to live at the intersection of art and commerce. Growing up in the Northeast, Chris was captivated by art and design from a young age - knowing he loved to create anything that didn’t yet exist in this world, from sketching cars or dreaming of new forms of architecture. By nine years old, he was drafting car designs and mailing them to Lexus and Scion, dreaming of becoming a car designer. This early passion eventually evolved into a career in photography, which he pursued by moving west to Los Angeles. Under the mentorship of prominent figures in the advertising industry, Chris honed his craft, learning the art of blending creative storytelling with commercial appeal. About the Artist
In 2018, during a road trip through Florida’s Panhandle, Chris was struck by the raw beauty of 30A’s unique landscapes. The experience left a lasting impression, and come 2020, he made the decision to relocate to the area. Today, Chris calls 30A home, traveling the globe to collaborate with clients such as Bentley, Lexus, Infiniti, Toyota, Chevrolet and more. Whether capturing surf culture, directing large-scale automotive shoots, or crafting his personal fine art, Chris’s work is always fresh, dynamic, and never seeking the literal. Collaborative by nature and driven by passion, Chris is committed to producing groundbreaking content for his clients while continuing to push the boundaries of what photography can achieve. His work is not just a profession but a visual representation of his lifelong fascination with the beauty of this planet we call home.
Every image I create begins in my mind long before the photograph is taken. My work stems from an unrelenting pursuit of moments where light, emotion, and composition intersect in a way that transcends the ordinary. Each project involves thousands of photographs taken in the field, chasing the beauty of fleeting light, ever-changing conditions, and the relationship of color and texture. The result is a body of work that seeks to push boundaries—not just in technical execution but in how imagery can stir emotion and tell stories. Curation of the work is both an art and a reflection of all that visually inspires me. Beyond photography, I maintain a collection of inspiration spanning decades—artworks, designs, and imagery from the last 30 years that shape my perspective and broaden my visual vocabulary. These influences, drawn from outside my usual genres, infuse my work with a richness that transcends the expected. Every piece I choose to release is a culmination of these inspirations. It must feel complete, capable of telling its story, and worthy of living not just on a wall but in the homes of those who experience it. I live by one rule for which images are to be put out into the world - If it doesn’t light me up, it won’t leave my studio. The Art of Creation
At the heart of my work lies a profound obsession with color. Inspired by what I believe to be the golden era of fashion photography in the 1990s and early 2000s, I strive to achieve the analog tangibility and depth that made that period iconic. Those images were not just photographs—they were transformed in darkrooms into timeless works of art, their tones manipulated to evoke emotions beyond the constraints of the medium. That is the feeling I relentlessly chase. Through hundreds of hours of experimentation, I have developed custom, home-brewed color profiles designed to emulate film tones at the pixel level. Unlike the generic film presets available online, these profiles are painstakingly crafted to infuse digital images with a lush, impressionistic quality. I am not interested in perfection; I embrace the imperfections and nuances that give each piece its soul. My aim is to create work that moves beyond photography —images that feel painterly, nostalgic, and alive. A Labor of Obsession
